Your held slot

Your held slot keeps your weekly time free for you, so you can renew your series before another renter books it.

What it does

While your slot is held, no other renter can book your room on your day and time, on any date after your series ends. It books nothing and never charges your card.

ExampleFridays, 8–9 p.m. in Studio E

Your series is every Friday, 8–9 p.m. in Studio E. Your last booking is Friday, Oct 30.

  • Oct 23 · Booked
  • Oct 30 · Last booking
  • Nov 6 · Held
  • Nov 13 · Held
  • Nov 20 · Held
  • Nov 27 · Held
  • Every later Friday · Held

Until the hold ends, no other renter can book Fridays 8–9 p.m. in Studio E: not Nov 6, not Nov 13, not any later Friday. The day after it ends, every one of those Fridays opens at once.

How long it lasts

The hold starts with your series. After your series’ last date, it lasts a set number of days, then ends by itself. The studio chooses that number. On your series’ sheet, Slot held for you shows the hold and its last day. On the studio’s calendar, your held weeks show as striped Held for you blocks.

Three ways it ends

  • Renew this series. You keep your Fridays: the new sessions are booked and the hold moves to your new series. The old series’ sheet then reads Slot moved to your new series when the new series keeps the same day, time and room. If the button is greyed out while your slot is held, renewing goes through the studio: contact them and they can renew it for you.
  • Release the slot. Your Friday time opens to everyone right away. You confirm first. Your sessions don’t change: releasing cancels and refunds nothing. Your sheet then reads Slot released.
  • Do nothing. The hold ends by itself once the date your sheet shows has passed, and the sheet then reads Slot released.

Cancelling your series’ future sessions from your series’ sheet also ends the hold, if every upcoming session is cancelled.
